The floor disagreed, resigned on the spot, and filed a complaint claiming it had been “emotionally supporting socks for years without benefits.” The socks took this personally. Within minutes, a guerrilla army of mismatched socks formed. No leaders. No plan. Just vibes, lint, and unresolved laundry trauma. Meanwhile, three goldfish discovered a tunnel inside the couch that absolutely should not have existed. The tunnel led to a dimension made entirely of spaghetti and interpretive dance, where survival depended on rhythm and emotional commitment. They immediately promoted themselves to explorers and hired an espresso blender in a monocle as their general. No one remembers why. It just felt correct. Then—like it always does—the toaster returned. Retired. Bitter. Fully awake.
